Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis Therapies can be used to alter mindsets and create new dynamics within thought patterns and behaviours, Hypnosis therapies thus removing negative or harmful habits. It can be used for the management of anxiety or depression, to stop smoking or unhealthy eating, poor confidence or low self esteem, phobias or stress.
Although there are different techniques, clinical hypnotherapy is performed by Lyle-Isabelle Arnold, in a calm, therapeutic environment. Lyle-Isabelle Arnold will guide you into a relaxed, focused state and ask you to think about experiences and situations in positive ways that can help you change the way you think and behave. Unlike some dramatic portrayals of hypnosis in movies, books, or on stage, you will not be unconscious, asleep, or in any way out of control of yourself. You will hear Lyle-Isabelle Arnold, the Hypnotherapist’s suggestions, but it is up to you to decide whether or not to act on them.
Integral Eye Movement Therapy:
Integral Eye Movement Therapy, IEMT, is particularly effective at releasing past traumas which are currently having a harmful effect. This Therapy is used to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and deep seated traumas both emotional and physical and is effective by releasing the emotional content from the memory of the event. As the therapist doesn’t have to know the memory the client is working on it is completely confidential.
Once an emotion becomes an identity it feels like it is a massive part of your life, because you have in a sense, chosen to carry it around with you as your identity. So it is there when you wake up and with you until you go to bed, just like all your other identities. This is when you begin to feel overwhelmed by that emotion and you feel like you can not get out of the situation you are in.
I.E.M.T is a therapy based on NLP and uses the eye accessing cues mapped in NLP to provide clues as which which area, visual/auditory or kinaesthetic (feeling) the image/memory/ emotion that is trapped or buried in lodged in the clients past. Because your therapist doesn’t need to hear or be told what that memory is the client doesn’t have to relive the trauma of retelling it. The eye movement reprogramming patterns used separate the emotion from the event itself so that although the memory of the event is still there the emotion and accompanying pain or grief is lessened and over the succeeding days/weeks will continue to diminish.
IEMT works with these eye accessing cues, along with the feelings or identity you are experiencing and helps disassociate the emotion from the stored memories. The result of this is that the feeling or imagery loses its emotional impact and becomes far less. The change is rapid and effective.
